Lutra Consulting Ltd. is hiring a GIS Support Consultant for a fully remote position. We offer a flexible schedule, with a minimum commitment of 60 hours per month and the option for a full-time role.
The primary responsibility of this role is the deployment, administration, and maintenance of our open-source GIS stack for both Lutra and our service-level agreement (SLA) clients. The infrastructure is primarily Windows-based, with some Linux environments. You will work directly with clients to investigate and resolve issues related to their GIS databases and technology, including PostgreSQL/PostGIS, GeoServer, QGIS, and Mergin Maps server.
For consultants interested in a full-time position, duties will expand to include providing 2nd level support, implementing migrations from proprietary to open-source solutions for major clients, and assisting with other daily tasks within our Support and Training department.
Key Responsibilities
- Administer, maintain, and deploy the open-source GIS stack, primarily on Windows Server environments
- Implement and manage spatial databases, with a focus on PostgreSQL/PostGIS
- Provide timely and effective technical support for client inquiries in accordance with Service-Level Agreements (SLAs)
- Lead or assist with projects migrating clients from proprietary systems to an open-source GIS stack
- Manage the support workflow by escalating tickets to the appropriate internal team members when necessary
- Create, update, and enhance documentation and materials for our client resource center
Requirements
- Professional working proficiency in written English (B2 or equivalent)
- Demonstrated expertise with modern GIS software (e.g., QGIS, Esri ArcGIS suite)
- Proven experience administering GIS services (like GeoServer) and databases (like PostGIS) within a Windows Server environment
- Strong proficiency with PostgreSQL/PostGIS, including database management and spatial queries
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for effective client collaboration
- A proactive, client-focused attitude with a strong desire to solve problems
In this role, your primary responsibility will be account manager and sales representative for teachers, students, and non-profit organizations working with Mergin Maps. The second part of the job will be assisting with other day-to-day responsibilities within the sales department, such as preparing materials for direct or channel sales or lead generation. If you are detail-oriented and enjoy communication with people from all around the world in a dynamic team. This is a part-time position in Bratislava, offering flexibility to adjust hours based on performance and availability. This position is intended for university students with 40-80 hours of available time per month studying Business, Sales, Marketing, Management, GIS related fields or other relevant fields. No prior sales or GIS knowledge required.

With a team of over 25 dedicated professionals serving hundreds of clients worldwide, our business is rapidly expanding. To support this growth, we're strengthening our Finance and Office team and are looking for a Junior Finance Assistant. This dynamic role encompasses finance, event, and back-office management, and will also be crucial in our 2025 transition to an ERP/Odoo system. You will work closely with our Finance Manager in Bratislava and our Finance Director in the UK.
Key Responsibilities:
Accounting/Finance:
- Day-to-day bookkeeping (invoices, expenses....)
- Reporting, analysis and data preparation
- Prepare data for taxes in different countries (as needed)
- Help with fine-tuning/implementation of Odoo (ERP) system
- Help with other agenda (e.g., international tax, year-end forecasts)
Event Management:
- Find and book accommodation
- Find and book flights or other transportation
- Find and book expo/conference tickets
- Ship SWAG or other items to conferences
- Assist marketing/sales team as needed (e.g., order stand arrangements)
- Arrange team activities for team meets (e.g., team building)
- On-site arrangement of team meets or larger events
- Prepare financial reports from events

- Backoffice (SWAG, HW, offices)

Requirements
- Fluent in both written and spoken English
