Lutra Consulting is looking for a strategic and results-driven Head of Sales to scale our sales department, with currently 4 members. In this full-time, fully remote role, you will be responsible for driving the growth of our SaaS product, Mergin Maps, while also expanding our support, consultancy, software development, and training services. You will report directly to the CEO and play a pivotal role in our mission to accelerate the adoption of open-source GIS worldwide. We are looking for a leader who can define the long-term sales vision while staying close to the frontline to personally engage with enterprise clients and strategic partners.

Key Responsibilities

  • Owning the Sales Strategy & Management process to drive global growth for Mergin Maps and Lutra’s technical services.
  • Leading Lead Generation & Business Development, with a specific focus on establishing the sales cycle for the enterprise market segment.
  • Managing Channel Sales & Partner Management, including the recruitment and nurturing of resellers and strategic partners.
  • Overseeing Sales & Contract Closure, ensuring effective negotiation and high conversion rates for complex, high-value projects.
  • Driving Account Management & Customer Success initiatives to maximize client retention and long-term value.
  • Building, mentoring, and expanding a high-performing, international sales team.
  • Collaborating with the Management team to refine Pricing & Revenue Strategy and service offerings.
  • Implementing and optimizing the sales technology stack

Requirements

  • Fluent in both written and spoken business English
  • At least 3 years of sales experience within a SaaS or IT software development company
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in a leadership role, managing and scaling a sales team
  • Exceptional negotiation skills with experience in closing enterprise-level contracts
  • Strategic leadership personality with the ability to build processes from the ground up
  • Strong understanding of the IT/SaaS landscape (experience in the geospatial or open-source industry is a significant plus)
  • Ability to work effectively in a fully remote environment across UK and EU time zones

Lutra Consulting is looking for a technical-minded Open-Source Copywriter. Our vision is to accelerate the adoption of open-source GIS to become the first choice spatial solution for everyone. In this role, you will be the voice of our technical innovations, creating high-quality content that showcases the power of QGIS, Mergin Maps, and the broader open-source ecosystem. This is a fully remote position with a commitment of approximately 8-16 hours per week, offering a high degree of flexibility. We are open to both part-time employment (UK/SK) or long-term consultancy arrangements. We are specifically looking for an individual with a deep connection to and a strong history within the QGIS project and great writing skills.

Lutra Consulting is looking for an experienced Head of People to join us in a part-time capacity (~0.5 FTE). In this role, you will take ownership of the people operations for our entire international team across all departments (~30 ppl) We are a remote-friendly company and are open to candidates from the UK, Slovakia, Czech Republic, or other EU countries. Since the majority of the team is in Bratislava, for Slovak candidates it would be great to visit our office occasionally. This position is available as a standard employment contract (SK/UK) or via a (long-term) consultancy agreement. As our HR leader, you will be the owner of the HR agenda, moving between high-level process design and hands-on execution. You will work closely with our Finance & Office Manager, who supports junior HR tasks, and collaborate with the Management team and CEO. We are looking for a professional who is comfortable working independently in a specialized, technical environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage the full employee lifecycle, including onboarding, offboarding, crossboarding, and performance management processes.
  • Manage our talent pipeline by working with external recruitment agencies and internal leads to ensure we hire the right people for our technical and non-technical roles.
  • Implement frameworks for staff growth, motivation, and performance reviews to support our team's professional development.
  • Work alongside the Finance department on payroll-related inputs and ensure all HR administrative tasks are handled efficiently.
  • Maintain and update HR policies to ensure compliance across the regions where we operate.
  • Oversee office support, team events, and internal communication to maintain a healthy and productive company culture.

Requirements

  • You have a minimum of 5 years of HR experience, ideally in a management or generalist role.
  • Previous experience within the IT or SaaS industry is highly preferred, as you will be supporting a team of software engineers and geospatial specialists.
  • Excellent command of English is required for daily communication with our international staff.
  • Ability to partner effectively with the leadership team and external partners (agencies, legal advisors).
  • A proactive mindset with the ability to manage your own workload and prioritize HR initiatives in a part-time capacity.
  • Comfortable working in a remote-first environment while maintaining strong ties to our physical hubs.
